Fannie Marie Eckard Anderson

Fannie Marie Eckard Anderson (known as Marie to her family and friends), age 75, of Morris Creek Road, Granite Falls, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at
Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care-Lenoir. She was born May 11, 1939 at Hickory Memorial Hospital, Hickory, Catawba County, N.C. to the late Frank Eckard and the late Mary Barber Eckard Ramsay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Dale Anderson, Sr. and a sister, Patricia Gail Eckard Bentley.
Mrs. Anderson was retired from Burke Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Anderson and wife, Lisa, Doyle Anderson and wife, Kim and Don Anderson, all of Granite Falls; Denise Anderson of Hickory; one brothers Carroll Eckard of Nebo, half-brother William David Eckard and wife, Marie, of N.C. and half-brother, Thomas Edward Eckard of GA.; one sister, Neverta Ann Kuczkowski of Ill., three half-sisters Thelma Jean Eckard Biddix and husband, Grant, Connie Eckard Spencer and husband, Walter, and Susan Ost Aldredge all of N.C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Mary Lou Ingle, 60, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her residence. Born August 17, 1954, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Julius
Monroe Ingle and Norene Eckard Ingle. She was a member of Christ United Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her two sons: Shawn Allen Drum and wife Melissa of Mooresville, NC, William Cleatus Lewis of Mtn. View, NC; daughter, Heather Tesiero of Mtn. View, NC; sister, Mary Alice Ingle Lowman of Newton, NC; brother, Billy Wayne Ingle of Vale, NC; significant other, Lee Allen of the home. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Rudisill officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory is serving the family of Mary Lou Ingle.
